Corey Nyhus is an illustrator, educator, and independent cartoonist based in New York. He is currently at work on a forthcoming fantasy card game, and in his spare time writes and draws the dustbowl horror comic UNKNOWN SUPERIORS. His works of gothic horror have been featured by the Society of Illustrators and Novel Noctule.

As an art educator, Corey has closely advised on projects partnered with major cultural institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York Public Library. In 2021, he received his MFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

While his screaming mummy art is certainly niche, it has amassed a growing audience amongst those who crave fantasy realms of a unique flavor. Mummy-flavored, perhaps.
